Package: torque
Version: 2.4.16
Distribution: Sid
Since version 2.5.4, Torque has the ability to schedule gpus. It would
be nice to see it packaged, as gpus are currently really presents
As per the link and quote below, the vendor recommends the version
2.5.x if no NUMA architecture is required and the latest is 2.5.8.
(should be considered to make available a NUMA and a non-NUMA version?)
http://www.clusterresources.com/downloads/torque/
"Welcome to the TORQUE download page.
The builds currently supported by Adaptive Computing are 2.4.x, 2.5.x and 3.0.x.
The 2.4.x branch is the current stable build. By stable we mean we
plan only to do bug fixes in future releases of the 2.4 branch. We
will not add any new features or functionality except in a very
limited number of situations. Build torque-2.4.12.tar.gz is currently
the latest 2.4.x release.
The 2.5.x branch will continue to have minor features and
functionality added to it. The build has been deployed successfully in
many environments and is considered reliable. Build
torque-2.5.5.tar.gz is the latest release and the one we recommend
most sites use.
The 3.0.x branch has everything 2.5.x has plus it supports NUMA
architectures and also supports multiple pbs_mom daemons on a single
host. The 3.0.x branch is not backward compatible. Even though the
3.0.x code branch will work on all platforms we recommend 2.5.x for
sites that do not need NUMA or multi-mom support. Build
torque-3.0.0.tar.gz is the latest release for the 3.0.x branch."
