Package: figfonts-cjk
Version: 2.2-4
Severity: normal
Major problem: the font is of height 20, not 16, but it's encoded as
16 and the required characters are all 16. The font fails chkfont and
is completely nonfunctional.
I've padded the required chars to 20 and changed the height to 20. I
also converted the ID numbers to Unicode for testing, and it seems to
work fine. I've put the fixed file at
http://zewt.org/~glenn/fig/jiskan16.flf.gz
The Unicode conversion is absent here; it's still JIS. Converting these
fonts to Unicode would be extremely useful, of course--my local version of
jiskan16 is Unicode, and I'll supply the (perl) script used to convert this
if it's wanted. (I pulled the conversion data from some "cjkvconf.pl"
script.)
Documentation error:
kanglm16 - Korean Mincho font
Converted from X font: uses 16 x 16 characters
KSC5601 encoding
That's "hanglm16". jiskan16 should probably be renamed to jiskan20 and
the documentation updated, too.
