Hi,
Awesome is already in stretch, but is only at version 3.5.9. Upstream is already
at 4.0 and has brought a lot of changes with which the users would like to keep
up with[1][2].
This is important as for instance debian doesn't provide any package for lain[3]
(which is being ported to 4.0). The user then has to manually find the
appropriate version of lain which will be compatible with debian's version of
awesome.
Several bugs in 3.5.9 are fixed in 4.0.
Can you update awesome package to version 4.0 in stretch please?
