Package: gnome-terminal
Version: 2.4.2-7
Severity: wishlist
Hello.
Is there a chance for a commandline parameter decribing the character
coding of a new window/tab? I'm using an UTF-8 locale in my system, but
some commandline programs won't work with UTF-8, and each time I spawn
a new gnome-terminal window for one of them I have to manually reset the
"Terminal | Character coding" menu; if there was a commandline setting
I could simply add it to the wrapper that spawns the terminal.
Cheers,
