Package: debhelper
Version: 2.2.11
Severity: wishlist

There is a common need to handle idempotent addition/removal of system
users/groups. It would be nice if debhelper were to implement a tool for doing
this The Right Way(tm).

Hi,

I believe this has been implemented in the separate package dh-sysuser.

Thanks,
