On a Geforce 6600, both the current 8178 drivers and the nvidia-legacy
7174 drivers work correctly and give hardware acceleration (according
to glxinfo). However, with x.org 6.9.0, the new drivers run at about
790 fps in glxgears, and the old ones run at about 3,700 fps.

Please ignore this bug report; in testing the older driver, I
commented out my xorg.conf's "Rotate" entry, because it was not
supported by 7174. It turns out that the rotation, not the new
driver, is causing the slowness. I apologize.
