The above error

glosstex: LaTeX Error: File 'glosstex.sty' not found

is closed (and archived), seeming to be fixed in version 0.4-5. On a
clean install by typing "apt-get install glosstex" on testing today, I
had to run /usr/bin/mktexlsr manually afterwards, to get glosstex
working with pdflatex.

System is an up-to-date (2005-02-20) Debian Testing, testing-included
kernel 2.6.15-1-686, tetex-bin 3.0-13 and libc6 2.3.5-13.

Any further information needed?

Regards,
Niko
