Hi Marco,
I could no longer reproduce the issue when testing on a Debian stretch
installation (arpwatch version 2.1a15-2). When I remove the watched
interface, the following message is logged:
pcap_loop: The interface went down
Afterwards arpwatch exits.
I suspect this was indeed a libpcap bug which has since been fixed.
Please re-open in case you find it is still present.
