Well, the Photosmart 3310 is not a psc2600. It does use the DJGenericVIP
driver (from hpijs) just like the Photosmart 2600, but it is supposed to use
the HP-PhotoSmart_3300-hpijs.ppd PPD, and not the 2600 one.
You need at least HPLIP 0.9.5 for the PSC 3310 to work, and you need at
least HPLIP 0.9.6 for it to work right.
You may try to upgrade to the updated hplip from http://backports.org. READ
THEIR INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY FIRST or you will upgrade a lot more than just
hplip, hpijs, hplip-data and hplip-ppds.
I am closing this bug, as the PSC 3310 is not supported on Debian sarge, and
the documentation does *not* list it as a supported device, either.q
