I changed the .bash_profile and .bashrc files in /etc/skel some time ago.
I noticed that since they are conffiles there are now after an upgrade
some *.dpkg-old files in /etc/skel and depending on how you answer dpkg's
question whether to update these files you get *.dpkg-dist files otherwise.
These files in /etc are not a problem, the only annoying thing is that
these files are also copied into the home of every newly created user.
