Version: 5.24.1-4
Severity: important

Hello, with the new zlib > 1.2.9 the testsuite fails,
(e.g. you can look at Ubuntu build failures).
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/perl/5.24.1-2

I found the test failures on rt.cpan.org and I applied to Ubuntu the proposed
patches:
https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=120134
https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=119762

I don't know why they are not applied upstream, nor if they are really backward
compatible with the older zlib

please consider applying them or upstreaming them (in case cpan is not the
upstream
place).

thanks!

Gianfranco
