Package: uni2ascii
Version: 2.7-1
Severity: wishlist

I was hoping for a mode where instead of making
  pages 1\x{2013}44
instead make
  pages 1-44
i.e., replace the unicode with the best matching ascii.
e.g., here just a humble dash.

Replace the copyright mark with "(c)", etc.

Also do this for latin-1 8-bit to ascii...

Put accents after chars or remove, etc.

(I have a big5 PDA and ...)

Wait... invest aging libtext-unidecode-perl ... maybe add this as a
SEE ALSO on the man page...
