Package: aspseek
Version: 1.2.10-1.1
Severity: normal

Hi.

Once I tried to start aspseek with its init.d script, it didn't come up.
While searching for the cause of the problem, I noticed that aspseek's
logfile is located in /var/lib/aspseek/dlog.log instead of /var/log/...
Hopefully the 'searchd' will uncover the actual location of the logfile
when it's started with no arguments. Otherwise I would have searched
much longer. The problem was that I hadn't started mysql.

As a quick workaround a symbolic link could be created:

# cd /var/log
# ln -s ../lib/aspseek/dlog.log .

Take care.
