Source: emacs24
Justification: fails to build completely from source without user intervention
Severity: minor
Dear Maintainer,
0.) I wanted to compile the latest Emacs from master on a pristine
Debian.
1.) sudo aptitude build-dep emacs24
2.) In the Emacs tree: make: configure complains that libtiff and libpng
are missing.
3.) I had to look which are the corresponding development versions of
the libraries and additionally install them so to get the complete
graphics ability of Emacs.
sudo aptitude build-dep emacs24
should have figured out the missing libraries instead.
Thanks
Dieter
