Package: lsb-release
Version: 3.0-15

When testing lsb-release with piuparts, I get the following error:

2m2.0s ERROR: Package purging left files on system:
  /etc/lsb-release

2m2.4s DEBUG: Removed directory tree at /tmp/tmpA4JHeu
2m2.4s ERROR: FAIL: Upgrading between Debian distributions.

This happens when testing an upgrade from sarge via etch to sid, then
purging the package. I assume this is related to the fact that the sarge
version provided /etc/lsb-release, but the etch/sid version no longer
does. If it was a conffile before (i.e., known as such to dpkg), note
that dpkg does not remove the file automatically upon upgrade, for fear
that the user may have modified it.

I'm not entirely sure what the right thing to do here is, for this
package. Is it acceptable for lsb-release to remove the file upon
upgrade from the sarge version (maybe only if unmodified)? If so, that
is probably the best way.

If removing the file is not acceptable, the best way to deal with this
is probably to have piuparts ignore the file. If you want me to do that,
please reassign the bug to piuparts.

I'm happy with either solution, but I'd like your decision on it, since
you're the maintainer. Thanks.
