Dear Maintainer,

  * What led up to the situation?

I am trying to synchronize some Yahoo Mail accounts through IMAP.

A change in Yahoo's servers configuration is probably the origin of the bug, as mentioned here:
  https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1382010

This thread mentions that the Thunderbird's implementation was faulty.

  * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
    ineffective)?

My configuration is the same as before, it just stopped working all of a sudden on my two Yahoo Mail accounts.

  * What was the outcome of this action?

  The following error message:

IMAP command 'AUTHENTICATE PLAIN <authdata>' returned an error: NO [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] AUTHENTICATE Invalid credentials

  * What outcome did you expect instead?

  Normal synchronization, just like before.
