Package: pcb
Version: 20110918-4
Severity: important
Dear Debian Electronics Team,
After calling 'pcb' from the KDE menu bar, nothing happens. Using
the shell for the program call I received the message
$ pcb
The program 'pcb' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)'.
(Details: serial 120 error_code 1 request_code 136 minor_code 19)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
Using 'pcb-lesstif' instead of 'pcb-gtk' works, but I don't like the
lesstif-GUI ;-)
Best regards
Stefan

This bug was reported against a very old version of pcb, and I can't
reproduce it with the versions in stable or unstable. So, I'm going to close
this with no further action taken on the assumption something fixed itself
in the interim...
