--- Begin Message ---Package: torbrowser-launcher Version: 0.2.7-2 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Dear Maintainer, Thank you for maintaining torbrowser-launcher as long as you have. As a privacy advocate and user, I appreciate the security the browser brings. I had been ill for a while and then few days I started the launcher and came to know that the browser was out of date. I updated it and then was unable to start it. It seems that the path has been changed to - /home/shirish/.local/share/torbrowser/tbb/x86_64/tor-browser_en-US/start-tor-browser.desktop Trying to run that either as an alias or via console I get the following - ┌─[shirish@debian] - [~/.local/share/torbrowser/tbb/x86_64/tor-browser_en-US] - [10018] └─[$] ./start-tor-browser.desktop Launching './Browser/start-tor-browser --detach'... ./Browser/execdesktop: line 14: ./Browser/start-tor-browser: No such file or directory So it seems that the file/executable/binary has been deleted. One option I have is purging torbrowser-launcher and start afresh but would await further instructions from you before trying that out. I do have a backup of all the usernames and passwords for websites that I might need. Look forward to knowing (if any debugging can be done) what to do next before purging and reinstalling and seeing if the browser works. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (600, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'stable-debug'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental'), (1, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.11.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages torbrowser-launcher depends on: ii ca-certificates 20161130+nmu1 ii gnupg 2.1.18-8 ii python 2.7.13-2 ii python-gtk2 2.24.0-5.1 ii python-lzma 0.5.3-3 ii python-parsley 1.2-1 ii python-psutil 5.0.1-1+b1 ii python-twisted 16.6.0-2 ii python-txsocksx 1.15.0.2-1 ii wmctrl 1.07-7+b1 Versions of packages torbrowser-launcher recommends: ii tor 0.3.0.9-1 Versions of packages torbrowser-launcher suggests: pn apparmor <none> ii python-pygame 1.9.1release+dfsg-10+b2 -- no debconf information -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal शिरीष अग्रवाल My quotes in this email licensed under CC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/ http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com EB80 462B 08E1 A0DE A73A 2C2F 9F3D C7A4 E1C4 D2D8
