Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
        dmesg -T

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
        dmesg -T

   * What was the outcome of this action?
Output stopped on 8/25/17 (today is 8/29/17)

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Output of the last day or so entries

*** End of the template - remove these template lines ***

The default kernel printk buffer size is 262144 bytes (kernel parameter
log_buf_len
has a default of 2^18). I expected that it would wrap and begin new entries
after filling.

I have added a workaround to the grub menu entry to specify a 1M buffer length.

I don't see how this is a bug in dmesg thus closing the bug report.
