Package: dnsutils
Version: 1:9.2.2+9.2.3rc4-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

You can reproduce the problem with the attached zone file and
the following command:

host -u -t txt -l fam localhost

The output ends as follows:

...
80C081B1AC40B8DC577DDD5C9F9D4211850129F2.fam. TXT "08"
"JyM4A/0Ws0ZBs1RiE07bmvmrcWeDR04ruK7GkG6AzLAs0Biqf9AdujvYPHzXTKd7"
80C081B1AC40B8DC577DDD5C9F9D4211850129F2.fam. TXT "09"
"WGchgGic0WojycgxhDel3xyQpFgURaMldhRsfnR/y2lwZXuQj/qbGz6LPMFTgU5C"
*** incomplete TXT record for 80C081B1AC40B8DC577DDD5C9F9D4211850129F2.fam,
offset 8148

If you run the following command:

host -u -t txt 80C081B1AC40B8DC577DDD5C9F9D4211850129F2.fam localhost

it succeeds which leads me to think that the problem lies in the
implementation of the host command rather than in the implementation
of the named server.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Hi,

the bind9 bug list grew too much and the Debian BIND team cannot
simply test all the reported bugs against versions not in stable, so
this is mass bug close, as either the version is no longer relevant
(because of old-old-stable 9.8.x or old-stable 9.9.5 or even older
version of bind9) or the bug was already fixed.

However, if you can reproduce the bug with a current version in stable,
please use Debian BTS 'found <bug> <version_you_reproduced_the_issue>'
command to retag the bug and reopen it.

Cheers,
Ondrej
