--- Begin Message ---Package: debhelper Version: 4.2.8 Severity: wishlist File: /usr/bin/dh_gencontrol Hi, when building debs for a non native architecture with dh_gencontrol -a -u-DArchitecture=amd64 the control file gets the correct Architecture (amd64) but the filename in debian/files will still have the native architecture (i386 in this case). This results in the wrong file being added or files missing in the changes file later on. The case in question is building grub. Grub is build as static binary on i386 and then used on i386 and amd64 (32/64 bit). This is neccessary since we have currently no support to build 32bit binaries on amd64.
