Package: maxima
Version: 5.38.1-8+b1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

maxima fails to load the operatingsystem package. If I start maxima and issue
the following command, I get the shown error:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maxima 5.38.1 http://maxima.sourceforge.net
using Lisp GNU Common Lisp (GCL) GCL 2.6.12
Distributed under the GNU Public License. See the file COPYING.
Dedicated to the memory of William Schelter.
The function bug_report() provides bug reporting information.
(%i1) load("operatingsystem")$

loadfile: failed to load
/usr/share/maxima/5.38.1/share/contrib/operatingsystem/operatingsystem.lisp
 -- an error. To debug this try: debugmode(true);
(%i2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The file does exist at the indicated path.

This has the annoying effect of making it difficult to save plots in the
current directory.

Fede
