Package: openvas-scanner
Version: 5.0.7-3
Severity: wishlist
Dear Maintainer,
just a wish. I believe, it is not possible, to inhibit openvas-scanner (and
openvas-manager and greenbone-security-assistant) at boot. I believe, I have
read something about, that this is hardcoded in the system. Of course I asked
the developers of openvas at this, but they said, this is related to the
packaging. So I do not know, what is really happening.
This is, what I see:
---- snip ----
systemctl disable openvas-scanner
Synchronizing state of openvas-scanner.service with SysV service script with /
lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install.
Executing: /lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install disable openvas-scanner
update-rc.d: error: openvas-scanner Default-Start contains no runlevels,
aborting.
---- snap ----
Maybe this can be changed in next release? Just a wish, as openvas-scanner and
this, consumes a "little" too much unneeded processing power (until openvassd
is completely started)
Just a wish....
Thank you for the work and for creating packages. It makes life so much easier!
Best regards
Hans
