Package: samba-common-bin
Version: 2:4.1.7+dfsg-2

Dear Maintainer,

please add samba by default to the appropriate runlevels (autostart) instead of
samba-ad-dc.
By default, the samba-ad-dc is not taking care of smbd and nmbd - or do i miss
something?

root@debianbuild:/etc/rc2.d# ls -l /etc/rc2.d/
README S01rsyslog S02apache2 S03cron S03logd
S03openhpid S04heartbeat S06rmnologin
S01motd S01samba-ad-dc S03acpid S03dbus S03ntp
S03smbd S05bootlogs
S01nmbd S01sbnc S03atd S03exim4 S03oidentd
S03ssh S06rc.local

I was forced to manually restart samba because samba-ad-dc was not reloading
the changed smb.conf

Hi,

/etc/init.d/samba was a simple wrapper to call smbd and nmbd. It has
now been removed to avoid misunderstanding.

Regards
