Package: samba

Severity: important
Tags: upstream fixed-upstream patch
Apparently upstream bug #9139 applies to the samba version in wheezy,
making it impossible to use it in an AD setting. See the original report
(with patch) at https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9139
Symptoms are that kerberos auth succeeds but the server responds
NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE and logs
auth/user_krb5.c:211(make_server_info_krb5)
make_server_info_info3 failed: NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_USER!
There is a valid username mapping between AD users and local users, and
the same config works on squeeze.

Hi,
I'm closing bugs that are wheezy only (EOL).
Please reopen if you are still experiencing it in newer releases.
