Package: esound-clients
Version: 0.2.29-1
Severity: wishlist
File: /usr/lib/mime/packages/esound-clients
Bug 244335 happens because no sane wav-player is found, so mozplugger
(or whoever) launches xmms to play wav files.
Since IMO esdplay is a much better player than XMMS for most wav files,
I'd appreciate if "priority=6" was added to all lines in
/usr/lib/mime/packages/esound-clients.
The default priority is 5, higher is more important. More info
available on the update-mime man page.
This change would give esdplay a one notch higher priority than XMMS for
playing basic sound files. That would in turn save me a lot of
frustration when accessing my mailblocks.com account, so this change
would be much appreciated by me.
Thanks //Johan
