The software registers correctly with the PBX, and the reception starts. But when making T38 negotiation the process fails. The problem disappeared when running is as root (the permissions of files and directories where OK). To isolate this problem, I ran it under strace, and it worked. I tried running it under kernel 3.9 from wheezy backports. And it ran correctly, without any other change. The logs are not very helpful.
