As announced [1], we do not intend to release Debian 10 "Buster" with
libgnomecanvas, one of
the old unmaintained libgnome libraries. Your package Build-Depends
and Depends on this library.

I apologize for not filing this bug earlier, alongside
https://bugs.debian.org/868383

amide has one more old dependency: scrollkeeper. I can submit a patch
for this later if you like.
