Installed xsane package using apt-get on sid machine, but it did not
work with my (cheap and good) Canon LiDE 120 until I installed
sane-utils.
Should sane-utils be a Depends of xsane?

sane-utils is not required to use your LiDE 120 USB-Scanner.
I think that was a prob with the outstaying transition for the last
sane-backends NMU upload.
