Package: mariadb-common
Version: 10.3.0-0+exp2
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
currently the piuparts tests for the munin package in experimental fail.
See
https://piuparts.debian.org/experimental/fail/munin-plugins-mysql_2.999.9-3.log
for an example.
The relevant part of the log:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
piuparts-depends-dummy : Depends: default-mysql-client but it is not going
to be installed
The source of the problem is the following:
* there is a mariadb-common package in experimental (10.3.0-0+exp2)
* the default-mysql-client package depends on mariadb-client-10.1, which
indirectly depends on mariadb-common (>=1:10.1.37-1)
Since the mariadb-common package in experimental is quite old (March
2017), it did not yet receive the epoch bump, that mariadb-10.1 went
through in November 2017.
Thus "default-mysql-client" cannot be installed if "experimental" is the
preferred distribution (e.g. in piuparts: "apt-get -t experimental ...").
Removing mariadb-common from experimental or updating the package
(including the epoch bump) would probably solve the issue.
Thank you!
Cheers,
Lars

No, the last update of munin in experimental was tested successfully by
piuparts. Thus the problem is solved.
