Today I tried installing needrestart and it produced this error.  Upon
investigation I find this problem.

As far as I can tell, it is bug that was present during times, when
/etc/init.d/bootlogd conffile was moving from bin:initscripts to
bin:bootlogd. I am sorry you had this issue, but there is nothing we
could do about it now. Closing.
