Package: audex
Version: 0.72b1-2
Severity: normal

Hi,

I have a Plextor CD-ROM connected to a Sym860 SCSI hostadapter:
02:00.0 SCSI storage controller [0100]: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic 53c860
[1000:0006] (rev 02)
[0:0:0:0] disk ATA ST3200822A 3.01 /dev/sda
[2:0:4:0] cd/dvd PLEXTOR CD-ROM PX-32TS 1.02 /dev/sr0

The device works fine when I use cdparanoia from the command line - at
least cdparanoia -csQ and cdparanoia -B do the expected thing.

However, when I start audex, nothing happens for minutes, despite
error messages being written to the syslog:

After minutes, audex comes up, but does not react to any mouse clicks
and can only be killed. After audex was killed, cdparanoia still works.

I guess that's a side effect of how audex handles the SCSI drive.

Greetings
Marc
