Package: samba
Version: 2:3.5.6~dfsg-5
Severity: important

I am seeing duplicate files in Samba shares on kfreebsd-amd64. This appears
to be a known issue running Samba on the FreeBSD kernel:
        http://article.gmane.org/gmane.os.freebsd.current/102871
        https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4715

To rectify the problem I set "directory name cache size = 0" under the "global"
section of smb.conf as recommended on the FreeBSD mailing list. The smb.conf
 man page also states
"It will be needed to turn this off for *BSD systems.".

This should likely be a default setting on kfreebsd.

Hi,

I'm closing those old bugs. If you still care, please reproduce on one
of latest jessie, stretch, buster or sid and reopen.
