I'm adding namespace support to pypy in 6.0.0+dfsg-4.
It's using /usr/lib/pypy/ns/ the same way as we do in Python 2.
Packages using --namespace should create a file named after themselves
in /usr/lib/pypy/ns/, naming the namespace. They shouldn't include
__init__.py. They should probably gain a dependency on
pypy (>= 6.0.0+dfsg-4).
I'm doing all of this manually (without dh_pypy's help) in
backports.functools-lru-cache.
