Package: hurd
Version: unavailable; reported 2003-03-19
Severity: wishlist
the VT_* ioctls for manipulating virtual terminals, defined in <sys/vt.h>
for GNU/Linux, are not implemented on GNU/Hurd.
for a description on what these should do, see the GNU/Linux Console
Programming HOWTO:
http://www.ibiblio.org/gferg/ldp/Console-Programming-HOWTO/x47.html
they are expected to act on /dev/tty and /dev/tty?, so /hurd/magic and
/hurd/term should be capable of recieving them.
VT_ACTIVATE is particularly important, as it's needed by Xfree86.
(note ioctl (open ("/dev/tty", flags), VT_ACTIVATE, N); should change
the display to the virtual console #N.)
of course, this only makes sense in the context of a configured
console server:

The hurd-i386 architecture has been moved to debian-ports recently.
Since the Debian BTS unfortunately cannot be used for tracking bugs in
ports-only packages, I'm closing all the remaining bugs reported against
hurd-specific packages.
