Package: gnumail.app
Version: 1.1.2-5
Severity: wishlist

When replying to someone who has set his identity with non-Latin characters,
e.g. "Someone NonLatin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>", GNUMail fails to send the
message and converts the name to
something like "/[EMAIL PROTECTED]<0B0@>2 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and gives the
following error in a pop-up window:

An error occured while sending the E-Mail. It might be a
network problem or an error in your sending preferences.
Last response received from the server:
(501) <(nil)>: missing or malformed local part
To save this E-Mail in the Drafts folder, open the Console window
from the Windows menu and click on the "Save in Drafts" button.

I guess it is something connected with GNUMail using Pantomime to guess the
encoding, but I am almost certain that it is not a bug in Pantomime as it
doesn't happen with LuserNET (which uses the same Objective-C library).

I am currently overcoming this by simply deleting the name in the Compose
window leaving only the e-mail address, so it's not a big issue. Probably it
is worth to mention that it happens both in versions 1.1.2-5 and 1.1.99-1
(experimental).
