Package: zope
Version: 2.6.2-6
Severity: minor

Hello,

it is nice to be able to have several Zope instances. IMHO it would be
a nice feature if all these instances would use one common import directory
for instance /var/lib/zope/import. The zope installation even assumes
this when installing /var/lib/zope/import/Examples.zexp but if I try
to import a file from ZMI the directory /var/lib/zope/instances/default/import/
is searched. The easiest way to accomplish this with a maximum of
flexibility to just use a symlink like

   ln -s ../../import /var/lib/zope/instances/default

which enables this common import directory for the default instance but
leaves the flexibililty to have a separate one for further instances.

Kind regards

        Andreas.
