Package: euca2ools
Version: 3.3.1-1
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

Upgrading to Stretch, which upgraded python-requests (currently to
2.12.4-1).

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

I tried to bundle an image like so:

$ euca-upload-bundle -b my-s3-bucket/prefix/ -m my-image.manifest.xml

   * What was the outcome of this action?

euca-upload-bundle: error: Header value 10485760 must be of type str or bytes,
not <type 'int'>

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Uploaded my-s3-bucket/prefix/my-image.manifest.xml

There is an upstream patch that fixes this issue here:
https://github.com/eucalyptus/euca2ools/pull/83

This patch was also included in euca2ools 3.3.2, so you might find it
easier to upgrade the packaged version instead.

The original issue triggered by a python-requests change is documented
here:
https://github.com/requests/requests/issues/3477
