Package: epiphany-browser
Version: 3.32.1.2-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
after installing Debian buster, the web interface of Gmail doesn't
work correctly in Epiphany any more. It is basically unusable, as I
can't neither read nor send messages. It used to work just fine in
stretch and previous releases, and it still works in Firefox.
The behavior I am observing is as follows:
- login and logout work correctly.
- when I log in, I am shown the contents of the Incoming folder, but
when I click on any message (which should open it), nothing happens.
In fact, the first time I logged in, it was still misfunctional but in
a different way: I could read messages, but they weren't marked as
read, as if I were in a sort of read-only mode. Today it got worse.
- when I try to open another folder, e.g., the Sent folder, or to open
the next page of the Incoming folder (beyond the 50 most recent
messages), I am shown an empty folder (I swear there are messages
there!).
- when I try to send a message, the compose window opens correctly and
I can write the message, but when I click the Send button, the message
simply disappears: the window closes and the message is not sent and
doesn't appear either in the Sent or the Draft folders (I checked this
in Firefox, as in Epiphany I can't even see the contents of these
folders!).
How to reproduce this bug: open Epiphany, browse to
https://mail.google.com/ , log into your Gmail account, try to read
messages, try to navigate folders, try to send messages.
Thank you
Gerardo

The issue I reported seems to have been fixed after I installed the
recent update to the epiphany-browser package. I've been using it for
some days since and I haven't experienced the issue any more. Thus
closing the bug.
Thanks
Gerardo
