Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
An update to Debian several months ago on 2 separate systems in different
locations and both protected with UPS's
Had no problems before this but it took a while to recognise the issue
and kept
updating Debian to see if problem would go away which it hasn't
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Have tried changing to new Microsoft Optical mouse no difference
Changed double click timeouts in settings - can see sensitivity change
but no
effect on the problem
* What was the outcome of this action?
Problem continues
A double click appears to occur randomly but often - (only really using left
button) - and this causes very serious problems with lines being
inadvertently
deleted in spreadsheet, multiple e-mail messages being deleted even
though only
one is selected amongst others.
Sorry if this is listed against the wrong package! Looking for similar issue
came up with fix mentioning libinput and strangely posted around the
time (July
2017) the issue on my systems started
