--- Begin Message ---Package: gimp-data Version: 2.3.18-1 Severity: wishlist Hi, gimp-data is quite large. And 19MB of it are locales. Other packages have also already started to split out the locales and only Recommend them. So could you please split the /usr/share/locale/ part of gimp-data into a new gimp-locales package and let gimp "Recommends: gimp-locales"? Elrond

--- Begin Message ---No, we don't think it's useful to split translations to a separate package. Debian is used by people of all languages. Ubuntu offers language packs which allows installing only the needed languages. Maybe Debian will eventually adopt something like that too, instead of in individual packages. Therefore, I am closing this bug. Thanks, Jeremy Bicha
