Package: debianutils
Version: 2.15.2
Severity: minor
`man sensible-browser` says:
Documentation of the EDITOR, PAGER, and BROWSER variables in environ(7)
However, BROWSER is not mentionned there (EDITOR and PAGER are):
lyon:/etc# man 7 environ | grep BROWSER
Reformatting environ(7), please wait...
lyon:/etc#
Yes, it's not so hard to guess, but it would be more user friendly
to have some documentation about BROWSER. This is especially important
as people using Gnome will automatically have mozilla-browser installed
(yelp depends on it), and it seems to have precendence when BROWSER is
not set. This is not what firefox users will want, so they are going to
look for the solution to change that.
I propose the following text as a starting point:
The BROWSER variable can be used to select which browser is started by
the sensible-browser command. For instance, to use firefox, add the
following to /etc/environ:
BROWSER=/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox
Cheers,
Daniel
