Package: gnome-panel
Version: 2.20.2-2
Severity: normal
after uninstalling gtk2-engines my panel icons were gone. The panel displayed,
but it would not display newly added icons (though I later discovered that they
were actually being added). From this I infer that gnome-panel should depend
or recommend gtk2-engines, but perhaps it is a configuration cleanup problem
instead.

I am cleaning up old gnome-panel bugs. In the modern versions,
gtk2-engines is definitely not required anymore, so I am closing this.
