Package: dosemu
Version: 1.4.0.7+20130105+b028d3f-1

Hello,

With linux 3.15 running on x86_64, dosemu can not initialize DPMI:

ERROR: DPMI initialization failed, disabling

because it needs a 16bit segment, which was disabled
in 3.15 due to information leakage, see commit
b3b42ac2cbae1f3cecbb6229964a4d48af31d382, and re-enabled later, see
commit 3891a04aafd668686239349ea58f3314ea2af86b, so it will be fixed in
3.16 and later.

Fortunately, for 3.15 kernels, thanks to commit
fa81511bb0bbb2b1aace3695ce869da9762624ff this can be re-enabled by

echo 1 > /proc/sys/abi/ldt16

That tip should probably be part of the dosemu documentation.

Samuel
