Package: lintian-brush
Version: 0.59
Severity: wishlist

When lintian-brush moves the name/contact fields from the upstream
metadata to the debian copyright file, it generates two commits; one
for the removal and one for the addition. I think that this is overkill and one
commit doing the move should be enough.

I suggest this as the commit message for the single commit:

Move some upstream metadata fields to Debian copyright info

Yep, we can definitely do this. The reason why it's two commits at the
moment is more practical than intentional. It's a result of the code
structure in lintian-brush; the code that adds items in
debian/copyright based on debian/upstream/metadata and the code that
removes duplicate items from debian/upstream/metadata are separate
scripts.
