Package: thunderbird
Version: 1:68.7.0-1
Severity: important

Whenever I click on a hyperlink, like inside a message, or even at the
"Mozilla"-Link of the "Help > About Thunderbird" dialog, the link will not be
opened by my browser. Instead, "Verifying the feed..." gets displayed at the
taskbar, immediately followd by "https://mozilla.org/ is not a valid feed."

It seems that Thunderbird handles all links as if they were feeds.

Not being able to open links by clicking on them but being forced to copy them
over into the browser is a major usability issue.

I am able to reproduce this bug with a fresh profile.

o.k. glad to hear the issue isn't existing any more.
Firefox and Thunderbird is doing nothing on their own within the files
mimeapps.list. This is only done by the DE or the user directly.

This can be done by yourself if you think the big report you've opened
is fixed or not relevant any more.

https://www.debian.org/Bugs/Developer#closing

Means generally you simply have to modify the email address of the issue
a bit. In this case here it's morphing to [email protected].
I've done so and the report will get closed once my answer is processed
by the BTS.
