Hi!
The $LastChangedDate$ property is localized, with a date string like:
$LastChangedDate: 2005-01-16 17:10:11 +0100 (dim, 16 jan 2005) $
This is correct in French.
The problem is there are some months with accents (eg "février"), and
those letters are written in UTF-8, whereas my locale is ISO-8859-15.
There is no way to control encoding, and UTF-8 characters are not
welcome in all source files.
I see several solutions:
- no localization, stay to strict ISO-8601, w/o human translation
(CVS behaviour)
- localization is controlled with current locale
(and "C" locale makes no localized date generated)
- $LastChangedDate$ is controlled by a environment variable
(maybe /bin/date format)
I attach a script which generates a repository with a file in it,
with the $LastChangedDate$ property. It works in /tmp.

confusion. It is almost always the library version that matters, as
far as bugs and features are concerned. (Closes: #359315)
* Disable java bindings on hppa and ia64, since kaffe is broken on

looks as though hppa may remain broken for awhile too (see #364819).
