Package: kernel-package
Version: 13.014+nmu1
Severity: wishlist

Sorry about having this system still be on older version, but things
happen and I see no other requests for this.

Could kernel-package add the feature of building DKMS modules during
kernel build? The situation I image is one of modifying the
--added-modules option so it will also look for DKMS modules, and if a
module is setup for DKMS build using those hooks.

If one is taking care of multiple systems, the installation of the build
tools means an extra 50MB for each system involved. For 100 systems
perhaps an extra 5GB isn't much, but it is a pain. Then there is the
extra time spent building the modules on each system.

Should this really be filed against the dkms package? Create a second
bug for that?
