Version: 3.20.5+dfsg0-2
When lauching xsane, an alert window says that no scanner has been
found. I've noticed that related to scanner packages has been updated on
may 18, so I've downgraded to previous version 3.20.3+dfsg0-2 and
everything works again properly.
The device is an hp officejet pro 6830 and I had to install the same
version (3.20.3+dfsg0-2) of the following packages too :
hplip, hplip-data, hplip-gui, libhpmud0, printer-driver-hpcups.

I believe this was fixed in 3.20.5+dfsg0-3.
