Upon doing the following:
1. evince bug.ps bug.ps
2. wait for the two windows to be drawn (they usually overlap)
3. close the top one with ctrl-W (or using the File menu)
evince hangs with

It seems to happen with any ps file I use, but for repeatability I've
put 'bug.ps' at
<http://www.inference.phy.cam.ac.uk/sanjoy/bug/evince/> but you can
easily reproduce it with this 'bug.tex' file:
